Meet James Hood
The artist behind Beautifica and Mesmerica.

James Hood is renowned as a vital and versatile musical pioneer - especially with his work on the PanART hang, a uniquely mesmeric melodic instrument, and for his collaborations with international animation artists.
His lengthy and varied musical resumé includes playing drums in The Pretenders, an ongoing two-decades-plus run as mastermind of the visionary ambient/electronica act Moodswings, and an expansive array of production and soundtrack projects.

Is Accessible Seating Available?

What If I Suffer from Seizures or Motion Sickness?
No strobing is used in the production, but there are some fast flickering light transitions, so caution is advised for those who suffer from seizures.
A very small number of people find immersive entertainment can create motion sickness.
Is Beautifica Suitable for Those with Autism?
We find that autistic audiences have given our experiences very positive feedback! However, please note the venue is dark and there is surround sound.
It's worth touching base with our venue team upon arrival to make sure you have sufficient accommodations, like end-of-row-seating.

Doors open for check-in no earlier than 30 minutes before each show.
We recommend arriving during this window.
- VIPs gain access 15 minutes before showtime.
- Latecomers will not be admitted
- Seats are available first-come, first-serve.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History was established in 1941 by educators. It was one of the first children’s museums in the country to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is located in the city's Cultural District. The Museum offers multi-generational experiential learning that embraces history, science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

This state-of-the-art theater features the world's first LED digital dome of its size in a museum.

Parking
- Parking lots in the cultural district are not managed by the museum, which is not responsible for costs associated with these lots. On busy days, they fill up early.
- The easierst place to park is the Western Heritage Garage located at 1400 Lansford Ln.
- Use the entrance located on the south side of the garage (Lansford Ln/Montgomery St) just across from the Omni Theater entrance.
- Use the Omni Theater entrance on Lansford Ln. The main museum entrance is closed after 5 pm.
Public Transit
- The Museum is accessible via Trinity Metro.
- From downtown, ride Route 2 or the DASH.
- Both routes are accessible from DFW Airport using TEXRail or Dallas using the TRE (no Sunday service).
